Car ploughs into crowd during Liverpool FC parade, injuring dozens  Listenfacebook
Dozens of people have been injured in the English city of Liverpool, after a car ploughed into a crowd during a victory parade celebrating their football club's Premier League title. Police said a number of pedestrians were hit as they greeted an open-top bus carrying players through the city centre. A 53-year-old man who's believed to be the driver of the car has been arrested. But Jenny Sims from Merseyside Police says authorities are not treating the incident as terrorism.

RTHK's UK correspondent, Gavin Grey, said it was unusual for authorities to provide information of the suspect so quickly. He told Carol Musgrave that it could be a bid by police to stop rumours from circulating on social media, noting how emergency services have asked people not to share the footage of the incident online.
Half-price fares for a day as MTR makes up for service disruptions  Listenfacebook
The MTR Corporation will offer nearly HK$20 million in compensation through a special fare day to address a number of service disruptions. These include the latest incident last week, which saw trains on the Tseung Kwan O Line suspend for five hours during the evening peak. Chloe Feng reports.

The Immigration Department estimates more than three million people to pass through the city's borders during the Tuen Ng Festival holiday this weekend. The lawmaker representing the medical sector has urged caution over proposed changes to the pay structure of public healthcare staff. David Lam's comments come after the Hospital Authority revealed that a high-level reform committee is studying the body's remuneration regime. The committee aims to better align salaries with workers' performance. Doctor Lam told Hailey Yip that it is difficult to quantify a doctor's work, and linking pay strictly to output could lead to unintended consequences:

Queen Mary Hospital chest pain centre cuts waiting times  Listenfacebook
Queen Mary Hospital's chief executive Theresa Li said the Hospital Authority hoped to develop a more comprehensive system to treat heart-related illnesses. A chest pain centre was established at Queen Mary last July. The idea was first laid out in the government's 2023 Policy Address, and aims to shorten treatment times and boost survival rates of cardiovascular disease patients. Professor Tse Hung-fat, chief of service at Queen Mary, told Charlie Chun more about the importance of the facility.

Trump threatens fresh Russia sanctions over Ukraine attacks  Listenfacebook
US President Donald Trump has taken to social media to say he's weighing new sanctions on Moscow. That's after Ukrainians woke to a third consecutive night of aerial attacks. Over the weekend, Russia fired 367 drones and missiles at targets across the country. That was followed by another 355 drone attacks between Sunday evening and Monday morning. Russia has said the latest aerial assaults are a response to Ukrainian attacks on its social infrastructure. Jamie Clarke reports:

A Palestinian official says Hamas has agreed to a US proposal for truce in Gaza and the release of 10 Israeli hostages. But an Israeli official has dismissed the proposal as unacceptable, and denied it was Washington's idea. Meanwhile, Israelis have gathered for an annual march to mark "Jerusalem Day". As Jamie Clarke reports, last year's procession saw Israelis attack a Palestinian journalist in the Old City and call for violence against Palestinians.
