Police have reclassified a case, involving the death of an elderly security guard in Sha Tin on Sunday, as manslaughter and possession of dangerous drugs. A 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene in connection with the case, which had earlier been logged as person collapsed. Police also searched the arrested man's car. Mike Weeks reports:

Rights advocacy groups and educators have urged the government to make children's feelings and perspectives a key priority as it finalises details of legislation that will require professionals who work with children to report suspected abuse cases. This came at a meeting organised by the DAB party on the law. The Commissioner for Transport, Rosanna Law, says around 16 percent of drivers who passed through the tunnels where HKeToll came into operation on Sunday did not have a tag for automatic payment of the toll. The chief executive of the Hong Kong Automobile Association has welcomed the government’s new e-toll system, but said authorities should do more promotion as many drivers still have not signed up to e-toll tags. Hong Kong's first manufacturing base for cell and gene therapy products should set the city on the path to becoming an international biotechnology hub. That's according to Gina Jiang, the managing director of the Hong Kong Institute of Biotechnology. Its facility - The Advanced Therapy Products Good Manufacturing Practice Centre - will officially open in the middle of next month, jointly-established by the Chinese University and the Hong Kong Science Technology Park. Jiang told Janice Wong that globally, there were around 60,000 patients in clinical trials for cell and gene therapies and the bottleneck for treatments was manufacturing capacity:

He was speaking at Berkshire Hathaway’s annual shareholder meeting, criticising politicians, regulators and the press about the handling of the recent failures of Silicon Valley Bank, Signature Bank and First Republic Bank.
