Haughey qualifies for 100 metres freestyle final  Listenfacebook
Fresh off winning a bronze medal in the Women's 200m Freestyle, Hong Kong swimmer Siobhan Haughey was back in action in the 100m Freestyle. She qualified with the fastest time going into the final the next day. The swimming star is a favourite for a medal, although Australia's Mollie O'Callaghan and Shayna Jack are expected to challenge her for gold. Haughey's effort was one of the few bright spots for the Hong Kong, China team on Day Four of the Olympics. Hailey Yip and Kelly Yu have the latest on the Games from Paris:

There has been controversy over fencer Edgar Cheung's win over his Italian opponent in the Olympic individual foil final. But the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China says it respects the decision of the referees. Kelly Yu reports from Paris:

A sports psychologist says an athlete's physical performance and their mental state go hand in hand. Karen Lo's comments come after the intense fencing matches which saw Vivian Kong and Edgar Cheung edge out their opponents in tie-breakers to win gold. Lo, who has worked with members of the Hong Kong, China team, told Charlie Chun that she provides workshops for athletes to help them excel at dealing with pressure:

Israel targets Hezbollah commander in Beirut  Listenfacebook
Israel has carried out a strike in Beirut on the Hezbollah commander it says was responsible for an attack that killed 12 young people in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights on Saturday. The statement came shortly after there was a big blast in the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, where Hezbollah has a stronghold. Lebanon's Prime Minister condemned the strike. Clashes erupt in UK town after knife attack  Listenfacebook
Violent clashes have broken out in a quiet seaside town in northern England where a knife attack claimed the lives of three children. Protesters were lighting fires and battling with police in Southport. Earlier, more than a thousand people turned out for a vigil in the town while a stream of well-wishers left flowers, cards, balloons and stuffed toys near the events space studio where Monday's stabbing took place. The attack has left the country in disbelief. RTHK's UK correspondent Peter Anderson told Ben Tse that rioters took to the streets after false accusations surrounding the identity of the attacker:
Protests erupt in Venezuela after Maduro claims victory  Listenfacebook
Venezuela says about 750 people have been arrested in protests against the official outcome of the presidential election - in which Nicolas Maduro was declared the winner. An official said those detained faced charges, including terrorism. Venezuela's President is conceding no ground when it comes to those taking part in the demonstrations. Several protesters were reportedly killed by the security forces. Jacqueline Guico reports:

Over 100 people have been killed in the Indian state of Kerala after it was hit by multiple landslides triggered by torrential rains.
