An upcoming technology festival, looking at issues such as artificial intelligence and Web3, is hoping to lure start-ups to Hong Kong. Next month's StartmeupHK Festival is organised by the government's investment promotion agency, InvestHK. Its Head of Start-ups, Jayne Chan, says this is the first time they have hosted roadshows in various parts of the world. She told Janice Lo that the number of participants was expected to exceed last year’s figure of 12,000:

A survey has suggested that offering flexible options could encourage more young people to take up volunteering. In July, the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups surveyed over 1,000 people aged between 15 and 34. They found about 85 percent expressed interest in voluntary work. But among those with prior experience, almost half said they had not done any volunteering in the past year. Christa Cheung, supervisor of the group, told Vanessa Cheng that time constraints left young people no room to join volunteering:
