Task force's proposals would mostly benefit property developers Listen
The Liber Research Community says the proposals made by a government land supply task force to deal with Hong Kong’s severe land shortage would mostly favour property developers. Brian Wong from the group said if 1,000 hectares of private farmland being held by developers is used for building flats, it will bring in 5 trillion dollars in revenue. He also said the options given by the task force could also raise questions about collusion between the government and developers. Wong spoke to Ben Tse:
Democratic Party lawmaker Ted Hui should be condemned: Dennis Kwok Listen
Civic Party lawmaker Dennis Kwok says Democratic Party legislator Ted Hui should be condemned for snatching a phone from a government official at the Legislative Council on Tuesday. He said there was no place for such behavior in a civilised society. Hui grabbed the phone of a female Security Bureau officer before running off with it to a toilet. He later admitted he went through the information stored in the phone before handing it back to a different officer. Kwok spoke to Annemarie Evans:
