Property developers worried about interest rate increases Listen
A director of property consultancy firm Colliers, David Faulkner, says property developers are worried about interest rate increases that would dampen demand for flats. He said that was why they started far fewer projects in recent months. The Housing Bureau said that figure stood at only 1,900 units during the three months to the end of September -- down nearly 80 percent from the previous quarter. Faulkner spoke to Jim Gould:
Boracay re-opens with a slew of new rules Listen
One of the Philippines' most famous islands, Boracay, has re-opened six months after President Rodrigo Duterte ordered it to close for a clean-up. He shuttered the tiny white-sand island in April, declaring it a "cesspool" where businesses flushed raw sewage into the once pristine turquoise waters and trash soiled its beaches.
