Advocacy group welcomes bill regulating private healthcare facilities  Listenfacebook
The Legislative Council on Thursday passed a bill regulating private healthcare facilities, such as hospitals and clinics. That means operators have to take full responsibility for medical procedures performed there. The facilities are required to hire a chief medical executive, to be in charge of their day-to-day operations. In addition, they will make pricing arrangements more transparent... and be subject to a new complaints system. AnneMarie Evans asked Alex Lam, chairman of the advocacy group Patients' Voice, for his thoughts on the passage of the bill
Macau SAR government announces cash handout  Listenfacebook
People in Macau are getting another cash handout from their government. There are 10,000 patacas for permanent residents, and 6,000 for non-permanent residents. It's the 12th year in a row that the Macau SAR government has dished out money as part of a wealth-sharing scheme. Ben Tse asked Joao Pinto, editor at TDM in Macau, how people have responded to the announcement
Global Rapid Rugby to feature Hong Kong-based team  Listenfacebook
The upcoming Global Rapid Rugby season will feature a new team based in Hong Kong. The South China Tigers will consist of players from the SAR's fifteen and seven-a-side squad members. Robbie McRobbie, CEO of the Hong Kong Rugby Union, explained to Ben Tse how Global Rapid Rugby works
