He says it appears to place the territory before the mainland. Chung tells Jim Gould that Lam also seems to be trying to do something for Hong Kong, and hasn't tried to create political confrontation in the community.

A member of the Citizens Task Force on Land Resources, former lawmaker Edward Yiu, has cast doubt on Chief Executive Carrie Lam's new housing initiatives. He says with high property prices, people should not be encouraged to buy subsidised flats. Yiu says if interest rates start going up, mortgage repayments will increase and this could place a lot of financial burden on the buyers. He spoke to Jim Gould.
