Hong Kong's Taichi Kho said on Thursday that each golf tournament he has taken part in has sharpened his skills, helping him improve throughout the season.
The World City Championship winner will be gathering in November with other golf stars, including reigning champion Cameron Smith and Wade Ormsby, for the Hong Kong Open.
He said he is looking forward to meeting them on home ground.
"I absolutely love playing in Hong Kong. I love playing the Hong Kong Golf Club and the Hong Kong Open is one of the events I really looked up to growing up, so to be able to play as a professional for the first time is going to be really special," he said.
Kho enjoyed a history-making victory at the World City Championships in March, which made him the first player from the city to win on the Asian Tour.
He said he is very focused on his practice and training so that he can deliver a stellar performance for his friends and family in the territory.
"I'm just trying to get better at each tournament. I have like seven or eight tournaments leading up to the Hong Kong Open so just taking each tournament as a learning experience and trying my best out there so that when I get to Hong Kong, I will be ready to go," he said.
The Hong Kong Open will take place from November 9 to 12.
