Hong Kong has secured another sailing spot at the Paris Olympics, with Akira Sakai and Russell Aylsworth making the cut in the 49er event at the French Olympic Week Last Chance Regatta.
On Friday, the pair achieved an overall seventh place to secure the final spot for this summer's games, where they join Nicholas Halliday who has qualified for the ILCA7 single-handed dinghy event..
Last year, Sakai and Ayslworth represented the SAR at the Asian games in Hangzhou, where they won bronze in the 49er sailing event.
In a statement, the Sailing Federation of Hong Kong, China said it is "extremely proud that our sailors have once again qualified for the Olympic Games."
