The Boston Celtics took a major step forward towards a record 18th NBA championship with a decisive win over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, taking a 3-0 lead in the series.
No NBA team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit.
Playing on home court, the Mavericks mounted a spirited comeback in the fourth quarter with Luka Dončić taking 27 points, six assists and six rebounds for the Mavs, while Dallas' Kyrie Irving led all scorers with 35 points.
Despite the Mavericks' attempts to turn the tide, the Celtics managed to hang on for a 106-99 win.
