Hong Kong's swimming queen Siobhan Haughey has capped off her medal-studded World Aquatics Swimming World Cup 2024 performance by winning silver in the 100-metre freestyle event in Singapore.
Haughey on Saturday finished the 100-metre race in 51.56 seconds, just under a second behind American Kate Douglass' 50.82-second performance. Poland's Katarzyna Wasick rounded off the podium with a time of 52.04 seconds.
The SAR Olympic medallist finished the event – which was held in Shanghai, Incheon and Singapore – with five gold, and two silver and bronze medals.
On Friday in Singapore, she was crowned the 200-metre freestyle queen after a clean sweep in the event. On the same day, she appeared poolside in an inflatable panda costume and waved to cheering crowds.
"When you have to work on your birthday, but luckily, it's Halloween," she said on her Instagram.
