RTHK's Asia football correspondent Chris KL Lau reports.
Hong Kong, China on Tuesday beat Mauritius 1-0 in an international football friendly at Mong Kok Stadium to record their third consecutive victory for the first time in eight years.

It was a promising look for the SAR under new head coach Ashley Westwood, as the win guarantees a place in pot two for December's AFC Asian Cup qualifying draw – following Singapore's loss to Chinese Taipei on Monday.

Lee Man winger Everton Camargo's goal in the 11th minute proved to be the winner, who cut in from the right wing to unleash a powerful left-foot drive just beyond the reach of Mauritius goalkeeper Kevin Jean-Louis.

Mauritius had a player sent off in the 42nd minute for two yellow cards, but managed to hold on the rest of the way without conceding.

The victory means Westwood is the first Hong Kong manager since Kim Pan-gon in 2016 to win three straight games, following a pair of convincing showings over Cambodia and the Philippines.

Up next for Hong Kong are qualifying matches for the East Asian Football Federation, where they will take on Mongolia on December 8 and Chinese Taipei on December 14.
