Hong Kong, China secured a bronze medal in the mixed relay at the Asia Triathlon Sprint Championships.
The SAR quartet of Cade Wright, Tallulah Wright, Robin Elg and Jason Ng completed the race on home turf in one hour, 32 minutes and 16 seconds on Sunday, finishing just two seconds behind Japan.
Meanwhile, the national team dominated the competition from the outset at Central Harbourfront, clinching the gold medal with a time of one hour, 31 minutes and five seconds.
On the first day of competition on Saturday, Ng and Cade Wright finished ninth in their respective men's and women's races.
The race started with a swim at Victoria Harbour, followed by cycling around Lung Wo Road, before ending the running portion at Tamar Park.
