Hong Kong, China tennis star Coleman Wong on Wednesday suffered an early exit at the Madrid Open, losing in straight sets at the hands of Italian teenager Federico Cina.
It was the SAR player's first appearance on clay court this season.
Cina, who is ranked number 373 in the world, won it 7-6 (5), 6-1 in a match lasting one hour and 18 minutes.
It was his second ATP Masters 1000 victory, backing up his win over World No. 70 Francisco Comesana in last month's Miami Open, which marked his ATP 1000 debut.
Cina will next face American Sebastian Korda in the round of 64 on Friday. (Agencies)
