Hong Kong, China's only athlete at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Lui Lai-yiu, was unable to make it to the next round of the women's 100 metres hurdles.

The 30-year-old Lui finished seventh in Heat 2 on Sunday, crossing the line in a time of 13.43 seconds.

Her heat was won by defending world champion Danielle Williams of Jamaica.
