Chief Executive John Lee has arrived in South Korea for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) forum being held in Gyeongju.
He's expected to attend a number of meetings related to Apec during his five-day visit starting on Wednesday.
“During the meetings, I look forward to sharing Hong Kong’s policies and experience in areas such as investment promotion and AI application with government and business leaders from other economies,” he wrote in a social media post.
“I will seize this opportunity to hold bilateral meetings with leaders of other economies, with the aim of strengthening friendships, enhancing practical cooperation, and creating more development opportunities and collaborative space for Hong Kong.”
Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Algernon Yau, who arrived in South Korea on Tuesday, will attend the Apec Ministerial Meeting on Thursday.
This year’s Apec Economic Leaders’ Meeting, held in the southeastern coastal city of Gyeongju, will see political top brass gather to discuss a slew of issues in the region.
