Local table tennis star and Olympic medallist Minnie Soo on Tuesday announced her retirement, bringing an end to her 12-year professional career.
In a Facebook post, the 27-year-old expressed gratitude to her friends, coaches and the sports community, adding that she has no regrets.
Soo partnered with Lee Ho-ching and Doo Hoi-kem at the Tokyo Olympics four years ago and won a bronze medal for Hong Kong, China in the women's team event.
"One chapter ends and another begins. Keep working hard. Keep my passion. Believe in myself and be grateful," she wrote.
She is the daughter of Soo Chun-wah, who was a former representative of the Hong Kong table tennis team.
She began learning the sport at the age of three under her father's guidance, going on to pursue a professional career after completing secondary three.
