Local tennis star Coleman Wong has been forced to end his Hong Kong Open men's doubles journey at the semi-finals, after his Canadian partner Gabriel Diallo dropped out due to an injury.
The pair were set to face Italy's Lorenzo Musetti and Lorenzo Sonego at Victoria Park.
But Diallo's exit gave the Italian duo a walkover win to advance to the final.
Wong and his partner earlier defeated the pair of German Constantin Frantzen and Robin Haase of the Netherlands at Victoria Park 7-6, 6-7, 10-8 to advance to the semi-finals.
Still, Wong will continue his campaign in the men's singles when he faces top seed Musetti on Friday.
