Hong Kong, China short track speed skater Kwok Tsz-fung on Tuesday failed to advance in the men's 1,000m event at the Winter Olympics.
Kwok finished last among four athletes in his heat at Milano Ice Skating Arena.
The 21-year-old clocked 1:27.237.
Only the top two finishers in each of the eight heats, plus the four fastest remaining contestants, advanced to the quarter-finals.
Canada's Felix Roussel had the best time in the qualifiers at 1:23.828.
Kwok will next compete in the men's 1,500m event.
He's one of four SAR athletes competing in Italy, along with fellow speed skater Joey Lam, as well as alpine skiers Adrian Yung and Eloise King.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics run until February 22, featuring 16 sports and about 2,900 athletes from more than 90 countries and regions.
