The Football Association of Hong Kong, China (HKFA) announced on Sunday that an international friendly match between the SAR and Nepal has been cancelled.
In a statement, the HKFA said it's been notified by the All-Nepal Football Association that the match, originally slated to take place on March 26 in Kathmandu, has to be called off due to rising political tension there.
The HKFA said it understands and respects the organiser's decision, adding that the Hong Kong, China squad will focus on preparing for its game against India in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers that will take place at the end of the month.
