Hong Kong, China star fencer Edgar Cheung on Sunday secured a second-straight podium finish by claiming bronze at the Foil Grand Prix in Lima.
The two-time Olympic gold winner, who entered the competition in Peru on the heels of last month's third-place finish in Turin, fell to Russian fencer Kirill Borodachev 3-15 in the semi-finals.
He had narrowly defeated fellow SAR fencer Ryan Choi 15-13 in the quarter-finals to book his spot in the last four.
Cheung's teammate Harris Ho finished seventh overall after falling to eventual champion Guillaume Bianchi of Italy 13-15 in their quarter-final match-up.
It is the best result for the 17-year-old at a senior competition, which featured a field of 300 fencers.
