Hong Kong, China paddlers Doo Hoi-kem and Ng Wing-lam on Sunday claimed silver at the World Table Tennis Contender in Shanxi, coming up short against the national team in the women's doubles final.
The SAR duo, seeded third, fell 1-3 to Shi Xunyao and Han Feier in a 26-minute contest at the Taiyuan Binhe Sports Centre.
Doo and Ng made a slow start and conceded two games in a row in the best-of-five contest.
With their backs against the wall, they forced a game four but ultimately came up short, bowing out 6-11, 4-11, 11-6, 10-12.
Doo also stood on the podium on Saturday, when she and Wong Chun-ting finished runners-up in the mixed doubles after losing by three games to one in the final.
Hong Kong's top-ranked women's player will be among nine SAR paddlers competing at the upcoming ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals in London from April 28 to May 10.
