US President Donald Trump has threatened to escalate a global trade war with further tariffs on European goods. Right on the US-Canadian border, Corey Fram's tourism marketing job has gotten a lot harder of late. Fram is director of the 1,000 Islands International Tourism Council, which promotes a nature destination with castles, cruises, hikes and fishing enjoyed by Canadians and Americans. Police have arrested three men who are suspected of stealing electronic devices from a Hong Kong Disneyland warehouse, and handling stolen goods. Damon Pang reports:

The privacy watchdog says it's completed an investigation on last April's Companies Registry data leak, which affected nearly 110,000 people. Aaron Tam reports:
Group welcomes HA move to reduce drug waste  Listenfacebook
A community group has welcomed the Hospital Authority's arrangement to reduce wastage. The change will apply especially to long-term medications or for those that must be taken only when necessary. The new arrangements will start later this month. The authority also says it is reviewing the HK$15 charge for 16 weeks worth of medication. The convenor of think tank Path of Democracy says people remain confident in the One Country, Two Systems principle, despite Hong Kong facing a fiscal deficit and geopolitical tensions. Ronny Tong made the remarks as his organisation unveiled the latest data for its One Country, Two Systems Index. He spoke to Natasha Ho:
HK Productivity Council forms IP support centre  Listenfacebook
The Hong Kong Productivity Council is establishing Hong Kong's first Technology and Innovation Support Centre focusing on intellectual property. The centre is set to be completed by the end of this year and approved by national and international intellectual property authorities. It will provide basic search services, as well as consultation and IP training for local companies and inventors. Vivian Lin, the council's chief operating officer, spoke to Kimmy Lau:

Development minister Bernadette Linn says the government will review construction standards and centralise the purchase of materials in a bid to lower costs. This follows a study last year into the city's high construction costs. Damon Pang has the details:

Politicians in Russia have spoken out against any prospective ceasefire in the war with Ukraine. They argue that it would play into Kyiv¡¦s hands and damage Moscow¡¦s interests at a time when the Russian military has the advantage. Washington says it will present a 30-day ceasefire proposal, agreed to by Kyiv, to Moscow. But the Kremlin has so far opposed anything short of a permanent end to the conflict without accepting any concessions. Jamie Clarke reports:

Former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has been taken into custody by the International Criminal Court in the Netherlands. That¡¦s following his arrest on murder charges linked to his war on drugs. At the ICC, Duterte will face allegations of crimes against humanity for overseeing death squads in his drug-crackdown.
