11 dead as former student goes on shooting spree in Austrian school

A former student has killed 11 people at a secondary school in southern Austria, before taking his own life. Police say they assume the shooter had operated alone, while his motive remained unknown. Free train tickets headline July 1 celebrations

Housing Authority urged to roll out more smart estate management initiatives

The DAB has urged the government to push ahead with the installation of smart estate management systems at Sham Shui Po public housing estates, after they were introduced at Hoi Ying Estate. The party polled residents in the district from February to April and nearly 95 percent of them want the tech to be installed at other public housing estates. HK completes major LNG bunkering

Hong Kong has successfully completed its largest single liquefied natural gas bunkering in an operation which saved time and money. As Sophie Cheung reports, it was a significant milestone with the first-ever ship-to-ship LNG refuelling alongside simultaneous cargo handling.

Two far-right Israeli ministers sanctioned by UK and four western allies

International pressure has increased again on Israel. Five countries say they have imposed sanctions on two far-right Israeli ministers for inciting violence against Palestinians. The two individuals will face a travel ban and an asset freeze. Meanwhile, the United States also imposed sanctions on so-called "sham charities" which it said were really supporting the Palestinian group Hamas. Jamie Clarke reports:
Three dead as Russia launches another major drone strike across Ukraine

Three people are dead and around a dozen others wounded across Ukraine following another wave of Russian drone and missile strikes. The air strikes in Kyiv has been described as "one of the biggest" in the capital since the war started three years ago. Also targeted was the southern port city of Odesa. The strikes came despite both sides continuing to exchange prisoners of war. Jamie Clarke has the story:
BTS reunion on the horizon as members complete military service

Digital tool promises to break down barriers for the deaf

How would you communicate with a deaf person if you didn't know sign language? You would probably sound out the words so they could try and lip read, or you might write down what you want to say. Or what about using a real-time digital translator that can turn your words into sign language? Raymond Yeung reports on one such project underway in Kenya.
