Surgeons at Chinese University have introduced a new therapy to treat patients suffering from prostate cancer. They say it lowers the risks of side-effects and complications that come with traditional forms of treatment. Doctors spent several years treating 100 patients with three modes of focal therapy. They found that more than two-thirds of patients didn't suffer from recurrence a year after surgery, and most of those who did also didn't need more treatment as the cancer was deemed insignificant. Samuel Yee, an associate professor for clinical urology, spoke to Damon Pang:

An economist says the mainland's third-quarter growth was largely driven by solid factory and manufacturing activities. But Raymond Yeung, Greater China chief economist at ANZ, cautioned about an unexpected decline in fixed asset investment, or FAI, which retreated for the first time since 2020. He said the decline was partly due to the continuous pressure facing the property sector as well as the government's campaign to tackle oversupply. He spoke to Chloe Feng.
