The government has unveiled plans to introduce subsidiary legislation to clearly define the classification mechanism for offences currently not stipulated under the SAR's national security laws. Southbound cars scheme opens for five more GBA cities

More Guangdong residents will soon be able to drive to Hong Kong under a southbound travel scheme. The number of Guangdong vehicles that can enter the city's urban areas will double to 200 per day. In addition, starting on July 25th, eligible motorists from five more Guangdong cities can enter the SAR. Elvis Yu reports.

Lawmaker and Legco's transport panel member Chan Siu-hung has welcomed the decision to include five more mainland cities in the southbound travel scheme and double the daily quota for vehicles entering Hong Kong's urban areas. Chan says the scheme is effective in attracting travellers but improvements must be made before it can be safely expanded to the whole of Guangdong province. He spoke to Elvis Yu.
Govt setting up five more Community Living Rooms

The government is setting up five more Community Living Rooms by the end of the year, taking the total to 18. The programme is targeted at residents of subdivided flats. Many of the facilities are in Kowloon with a few in Hong Kong island. Lawmaker Judy Chan told RTHK's Backchat programme that the new community living rooms will be in the New Territories including Kwai Chung and Tseun Wan.
Tsuen Wan blackout hits homes and shops
