Two gunmen -- identified as a father and son -- have killed at least 15 people, including a 10-year-old girl -- in a mass shooting at a Jewish holiday celebration at Sydney's Bondi Beach. More than 40 people were wounded, including two police officers. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has called it an act of antisemitic terrorism. One of the suspected gunmen was killed, while his 24-year-old son was critically injured and has been taken to hospital under police guard. Police have said they are not looking for any further suspects. Jamie Clarke reports:
'Person of interest' detained in Brown University shooting

US police have detained a person of interest in connection with a separate shooting at Brown University in the state of Rhode Island that killed two students and wounded nine others. The gunman opened fire inside a classroom in the university's engineering building, before fleeing the campus and instigating a manhunt. Jamie Clarke has more:
Germany foils plot to attack Christmas market

Five men have been arrested in Germany suspected of being involved in a plot to drive a vehicle into people at a Christmas market. Three Moroccans, an Egyptian and a Syrian were detained over the plan to target a market in the southern Bavarian state. Authorities said they suspected an "Islamist motive". Early-onset cancer survivors eager to resume work: survey

A survey by the Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society has revealed that most survivors of early-onset cancer patients think they're ready to return to the workforce. But that's contrary to the views of their caregivers, who think they should focus on their rehabilitation. Early-onset cancer refers to cancers diagnosed before the age of 50. Dr Lam Ka-on, the society's chairman of the cancer education subcommittee said there's been an 80 percent global increase for such cancers over the past three decades. He explained to Henry Siu the key findings of the survey:
Ukraine drops Nato goal amid peace talks
