More than 60 firms have signed leases in the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park, just nine months after the completion of three buildings in the tech hub. The 87-hectare SAR section of the park in the Lok Ma Chau Loop is part of the larger Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Cooperation Zone. Re-elected lawmaker William Wong says the park will offer great opportunities for both overseas and mainland firms to expand their businesses. Mr Wong, who's also an engineering professor at Chinese University. attended the park's opening ceremony on Monday. He spoke to Elvis Yu.
Bids reopen for Hung Hom pier with tougher rules

The Development Bureau has reopened bids for a vacant pier in Hung Hom to turn it into a short-term harbourfront event space, with tougher rules for operators. As Aaron Tam reports, the bureau's said these rules will be put in place to better safeguard consumer rights.
HK inflation stays unchanged at 1.2pc in November

Schools should proceed with caution in AI drive: academic

A local educator who specialises in artificial intelligence says Hong Kong is one of the global pioneers in transforming AI education. The comments came after the Education Bureau announced last week that it's offering half a million dollars to each public school that successfully applies for funding to introduce AI in classrooms over the next three years. The bureau had also earlier earmarked two billion dollars to reach the goal of "AI for all subjects". Speaking on RTHK's Backchat programme, Thomas Chiu, Associate Professor of AI and Stem Education in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Chinese University, said the measures are positive, but caution is needed. He spoke to Azam Khan and Mike Rowse.
Denmark to summon US ambassador over special envoy appointment

Denmark says it will summon the American ambassador, after US President Donald Trump appointed a special envoy to Greenland, the Danish autonomous territory he has threatened to annex. Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said he was "deeply angered" by the move, and warned Washington to respect Denmark's sovereignty. Venezuela denounces US tanker seizures as 'piracy'

The US Coast Guard was allegedly pursuing another sanctioned tanker, as Washington ramps up its pressure campaign against Venezuela's vital oil sector. The pursuit comes after two tankers were already seized in recent days, with US President Donald Trump vowing to blockade such vessels entering and leaving the South American nation. Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil has read out a letter from President Nicolas Maduro, denouncing Washington's military deployment in the Caribbean, attacks on civilian vessels, and actions described as piracy. KL court rejects former PM Najib's house arrest bid

Earlier, the world body had appealed for a 2026 aid budget only half the size of what it had hoped for this year, acknowledging a plunge in donor funding.
