CUHK develops stool test for autism

Chinese University's faculty of medicine has launched what it describes as pioneering technology designed to assess the risk of autism spectrum disorder, or ASD, in children. As Hailey Yip reports, the new tech has the potential to greatly improve early detection of the disorder.
Pilot project to start in January: research

Track works to affect Hung Hom Station for two days

Police in Australia have charged alleged Bondi gunman Naveed Akram with terrorism, 15 counts of murder and a litany of other crimes, after the country's deadliest mass shooting in decades. It comes as funerals were held for the Jewish victims of the attack. Hailey Yip reports:
'Gun control and social media ban could help rein in violence'

Experts say Australia's new social media ban for under 16s, as well as new planned national registries, will help reduce radicalisation and prevent further tragic incidents. Tony Loughran, Director of security consultancy Zero Risk International, and Eyal Mayroz, Senior Lecturer in Peace and Conflict Studies at The University of Sydney, spoke to Azam Khan and CM Chan on RTHK's backchat Programme. Now let's find out about another of this year's Operation Santa Claus beneficiaries - The SPLASH Foundation - who believe everyone should have the chance to learn to swim. It's the only sport that can save your life after all. With this in mind, they run free adult swimming programmes for migrant domestic workers and refugees, as well as programmes for kids from low-income families.
