Carrie Lam trying to contain fallout from her comments on public housing  Listenfacebook
The think-tank Land Watch says the Chief Executive Carrie Lam is trying to contain the fallout caused by apparently saying that 800-thousand public flats would be enough to cater for the needs of low income families. Its chairman, Lee Wing-tat, says her comments had dealt a “big blow” to her housing policy as they were criticised not only by the public, but also various political parties including those that support the government. Lee says the previous administration of CY Leung wasn’t able to meet public housing production targets in his five years in office. He told Jim Gould that he’s not confident that Lam would be able to do so.

Hong Kong bid team for Gay Games delighted  Listenfacebook
The Hong Kong bid team for the 2022 Gay Games says it’s delighted that the territory will be able to host the event in five years’ time. Its chairman Dennis Philipse says he and his team of volunteers have been working very hard over the past few years to bring the games to Hong Kong, and they feel their dream has finally come true. Philipse says the city will not have to build additional infrastructure to host the games nor would people have to be gay in order to participate in the event. He spoke to Annemarie Evans from Paris where a committee chose Hong Kong to host the games.
Russia-backed election content reached 126 million Americans: Facebook  Listenfacebook
Facebook says Russia-based operatives published about 80,000 posts on the social network over a two-year period in an effort to sway US politics. It also says about 126 million Americans may have seen the posts during that period. Facebook’s latest data on the Russia-linked posts - possibly reaching around half of the US population of voting age - far exceeds the company’s previous disclosures. Annemarie Evans asked RTHK’s Moscow correspondent Fred Weir what he made of Facebook’s disclosure.
