Express rail's depot flooded  Listenfacebook
Civic Party lawmaker, Jeremy Tam, says the MTR's depot for high-speed trains in Shek Kong was flooded during Wednesday’s torrential rain. He said he also received reports of varying degrees of flooding along the express rail line, and expressed concern about the floods' impact on the train tracks and signaling system. Tam said water leaks at the depot are a problem that the MTR must resolve. He spoke to Annemarie Evans:
Mosquito breeding surveillance being beefed up  Listenfacebook
The government says it will beef up its mosquito breeding surveillance system across the territory to counter an outbreak of dengue fever. From Saturday, it will publish data of the ovitrap index every week instead of every three weeks. The index is intended to monitor mosquito numbers. So far, 28 people have come down with dengue fever. Democratic Party lawmaker, Helena Wong, spoke to Ben Tse:

The German city of Chemnitz is bracing for fresh protests with local authorities calling in federal police to help after a fatal stabbing on the weekend led to violent far-right protests in the eastern city on Sunday.
