A mainland court has ordered a freeze on a bank deposit of more than 13 million yuan by embattled bike-sharing firm Ofo in response to a lawsuit from delivery company SF Express over unpaid bills.
The Hong Kong-founded delivery firm says it had repeatedly asked Ofo to settle its outstanding fees before taking the dispute to court. It didn't say how much it is owed.
The cash-strapped bike-sharing company, backed by Alibaba, is also facing demands from nearly 12 million users for deposit refunds.
Last month, the company founder Dai Wei was put on a luxury-spending blacklist by a Beijing court, which prohibits him from staying in high-end hotels, and fast train or air travel.
