A Chinese medicine clinic in Tsz Wan Shan has hung up a massive banner, saying it would charge American tourists an extra 25 percent as a "tariff".
The red banner also tells American customers that if this causes them any inconvenience, they should make enquiries at the US consulate.
The owner of the bone-setting clinic, Heung Kwok Shing, told RTHK that he made the move because he's very unhappy with the additional tariffs that Washington recently slapped on Chinese goods.
“As a Chinese, I should stand up and support my own country. There’s no reason for me to stand on the side of the Americans,” he said.
Heung said the banner will be taken down once the US scraps the tariffs, or strikes a deal with China over the matter.
While he said he received an enquiry from an American tourist over the additional charges, he has not actually had any American patients so far.
