Sources say a woman whose right eye was badly injured during Sunday night’s clashes in Tsim Sha Tsui has had her right eyeball ruptured and some bones in her face fractured.

It’s said that the white outer layer of her right eye has been ripped, the lens was damaged. Her upper jaw and nasal bones were also fractured.

The woman, who was clad in black and appeared to be a protester, had undergone an emergency operation.

Media reports alleged that she was hurt when a projectile hit and broke her goggles.

Photos were later circulated online with what looked like a bean bag round lodged in the goggles said to be found next to her.
