The MTR said on Sunday that several stations on the Tsuen Wan line will be closed from 1:30pm due to public events to be held in the area.

The Kwai Fong and Tsuen Wan stations on the Tsuen Wan line and the West Rail line's Tsuen Wan West station will be temporarily closed.

Trains on the two lines will not stop at the stations and Tsuen Wan line will terminate early in Tai Wo Hau.

An authorised anti-extradition protest is scheduled for the area after the police reversed a ban on a march from Kwai Fong to Tsuen Wan.

Police changed their mind after organisers agreed to change the starting point and the route of the protest.

It will now start at the Kwai Chung Sports Ground, instead of the Kwai Fong railway station bus terminal. It will be followed by a rally in Tsuen Wan Park.

On Saturday, the MTR also closed some stations early in Kowloon East ahead of an anti-extradition protest.
