A 30-year-old man who attacked pro-Beijing lawmaker Junius Ho with a knife on Wednesday has had his case reclassified from wounding to attempted murder.
It'll be mentioned at Fanling Magistrates’ Courts on Friday afternoon.
Pro-Beijing lawmaker Ho was stabbed while campaigning for the upcoming district council elections in Tuen Mun.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and treated Ho before taking him to Tuen Mun Hospital.
Junius Ho is running for a seat at the Lok Chui constituency in Tuen Mun in the upcoming district council elections, competing against Lo Chun-yu from the Democratic Party and Chiang Ching-man, who didn’t declare any political affiliation.
