Pro-government lawmaker Junius Ho on Thursday challenged the pan-democrats to face censure motion probes over protest-related events, saying he has no fear in facing investigations that Legco has initiated against him.

Ho is facing probes over his alleged link to a gang of armed men who attacked passengers in Yuen Long on July 21 and his use of unparliamentary language against Claudia Mo.

Ho in turn moved a motion against Lam Cheuk-ting over the Yuen Long MTR station attack and the liaison office attack on July 21.

In his motion against Lam, the pro-government lawmaker said the Democratic Party member was "directly and indirectly involved" in the defacing of the liaison office emblem and inciting white-shirted people in Yuen Long MTR station to engage in fights.

Ho said according to live video footage uploaded to Lam's Facebook page, the opposition lawmaker asked some people there to take photos of a white-shirted man and provoked others repeatedly.

Ho also challenged another opposition lawmaker, Cheng Chung-tai, saying he should be investigated along with Lam.

"Why didn't I oppose the two censure motions against me? It doesn't mean I'm admitting any wrongdoing. But that's me... pure gold does not fear the furnace. You want to investigate me? It doesn't matter. Let's have a thorough investigation into all of us," he said.

Democratic Party chairman Wu Chi-wai, who moved a counter motion, said Ho was trying to create a hopeless illusion about Yuen Long attack and used a popular Chinese idiom to describe it saying it was like "describing a deer as a horse".

DAB lawmaker Ben Chan said the media had made their judgment on the Yuen Long attacks before a proper trial and the pro-democracy lawmakers wouldn't have to try and block the investigation if Lam had done nothing wrong.

He said the investigation may also absolve Junius Ho of blame for the attacks.
