The wife and daughter of a man believed to have caught the Wuhan virus in Hong Kong have now also tested positive for the illness, RTHK has learnt.
Officials had confirmed the man's infection on Tuesday. The 60-year-old, who lives in Hong Tin Court in Lam Tin, had not left Hong Kong recently.
Despite showing symptoms from January 22, he visited the doctors four times and went to two different public hospitals before he was finally admitted to an isolation ward.
Sources told RTHK that initial tests for the virus on his wife and daughter have also come back positive.
The pair are being treated at United Christian Hospital.
Meanwhile, a 56-year-old man is believed to have come down with the virus.
If confirmed, the three latest virus cases will take the total in the SAR to 21, with around a third of the patients believed to have contracted the illness locally, rather than in Wuhan itself.
