A police sergeant and a 42-year-old man arrested during a drug bust at a Tsim Sha Tsui hotel on Thursday were remanded in custody, after they appeared at the West Kowloon court on drug trafficking charges.
The pair did not apply for bail, and the magistrate adjourned the case to July 6 pending reports from the government laboratory. They will now appear at the Kowloon City court.
A 28-year-old woman also arrested is in hospital, and will appear at in court next Thursday.
The 41-year-old police officer in the case is one of the four from the West Kowloon regional anti-triad unit arrested over drug trafficking or misconduct in public office.
In a letter, the chair of the Junior Police Officers' Association, Lam Chi-wai, has urged his colleagues to exercise self-discipline, saying some black sheep within their ranks have dealt the force a major blow.
