Three police officers drew their guns at a driver at the end of a half-hour car chase through Kowloon in the early hours of Friday morning, though no shots were fired.
Police say a traffic officer started giving chase after noticing a vehicle swerving down a Mei Foo street.
After a lengthy pursuit, the vehicle came to a stop when it tried and failed to squeeze by a taxi that was stopped at a traffic light at the intersection of Cheung Sha Wan Road and Tai Po Road.
Instead, the car ended up being wedged in between the taxi and a set of road railings.
Officers then surrounded the vehicle, and drew their weapons.
However, the man was taken into custody without any shots fired, and was taken to hospital.
The taxi driver was slightly hurt in the accident, and his car was left dented.
Police say an initial investigation found that the private car had been stolen and bore a fake license plate.
