Sources have told RTHK that the city is expected to record around 30 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday.

If confirmed, this would be a substantial drop from previous days which saw at least 60 new cases reported daily.

On Monday, the Centre for Health Protection confirmed 69 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the SAR to 4,148.

Meanwhile, three more people have died due to Covid-19, bringing the city's death toll linked to the virus climbing to 58.

They include a 79-year-old man who passed away at Tseung Kwan O Hospital on Monday night, an 80-year-old man who passed away at Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital on Tuesday afternoon, and an 87-year-old woman who died at United Christian Hospital also on Tuesday afternoon.
