The coronavirus situation in Hong Kong is showing signs of improvement as it sees a third day with no untraceable local Covid cases.

The Centre for Health Protection reported only one locally acquired infection, linked to a previous case.

The 21-year-old female patient is a close contact of a patient who is linked to the Royal Garden Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, which has seen an outbreak of Covid-19.

She was put under quarantine before being confirmed with the virus.

There are also 14 imported cases, involving people who flew in from Russia, Kazakhstan, India, the Philippines, Turkey, Indonesia, the United States and the UK. Almost all of them don't have any symptom.

Hong Kong has so far reported 5,256 coronavirus cases, with 105 deaths.
