Police on Friday said they had arrested nine people over an alleged break-in at the house of a social influencer who says she was robbed of HK$10 million worth of luxury goods such as handbags, watches and jewellery.

So Mei-yan, 25, said she, her six-month-old baby and her domestic helper were tied up by three burglars after they broke into her flat in Cheung Sha Wan on November 24.

Following an investigation, police said they raided seven premises across the territory on Thursday and arrested suspects aged between 30 and 61, including the three suspected burglars.

Officers added that they managed to recover some of the stolen goods, worth around HK$1.6 million.

The force also found a suitcase along a section of Route Twisk in Tsuen Wan that was believed to contain some of So's missing items.

Detectives said they believe the suspects targeted the influencer because she had showed off her wealth online.
