Hong Kong reported nine new Covid-19 cases on Monday, six of which were locally acquired.

The Centre for Health Protection said four of the local cases had no known source of infection, including a 36-year-old security guard from Yuen Long, a 48-year-old waitress from Sham Shui Po, a 41-year-old housewife from Tsim Sha Tsui, and a 35-year-old project co-ordinator from Fanling.

All of them developed symptoms such as fever, chills, a blocked nose, or a cough.

The three imported cases came from the Philippines, Pakistan, and the United Arab Emirates.

The latest cases bring Hong Kong's Covid tally to 11,099.
