Hong Kong reported no local Covid-19 infections for the second day in a row on Sunday.

Health authorities said the only new case was a 24-year-old woman, who arrived from Indonesia.

But the likelihood of having zero cases for three straight days seems unlikely after sources said there may be a preliminary local case with an unknown origin.

The Centre for Health Protection said there had been 188 new infections over the past 14 days, with 110 being locally-acquired and 29 from an unknown source.

Meanwhile, the editorial board of the Baptist University Students' Union said on its Facebook page that a social science student had come down with the virus.

It said the university had already closed and disinfected the classrooms that the student had used in the Communication and Visual Arts Building and the Lui Ming Choi Centre.

Officials are now trying to trace the close contacts of the student.
