Authorities on Wednesday sealed off a number of buildings in Kwun Tong, Wong Tai Sin and Tin Shui Wai for overnight testing, after sewage samples from the blocks tested positive for Covid-19.

Officials said they suspect there are asymptomatic patients in Tsui Mui House of Tsui Ping (North) Estate in Kwun Tong; Kwai Tung House of Tung Tau (II) Estate and Chui King House in Choi Hung Estate in Wong Tai Sin; and Yau Ning House of Tin Yau Court in Tin Shui Wai.

Residents are required to stay home and undergo testing until the operations end.

The government said people who had been to the buildings for more than two hours from March 10 to March 23 are also required to undergo compulsory testing.

The operations are expected to wrap up between noon and 1pm on Thursday.
