Defending champions China on Tuesday eased past India in the round of 16 in men's team table tennis at the Paris Olympics.
Ma Long and Wang Chuqin drew first blood in the opening doubles match.
The Chinese pair rolled to an 11-2, 11-3, 11-7 victory over Harmeet Desai and Manav Vikash Thakkar of India.
In a singles match, Fan Zhendong, who won the men's singles gold medal in Paris, dropped the opening game against Sharath Kamal Achanta 11-9.
Fan then came to life, taking the next three games 11-7, 11-7, 11-5 to seal victory.
Wang completed the win for China when he got past Thakkar 11-9, 11-6, 11-9 in the second singles match.
China won 3-0 and next takes on South Korea in the quarter-finals on Wednesday.
