China on Wednesday booked semi-final places in both men's and women's team table tennis at the Paris Olympics.
The men's national team took on South Korea in the last eight at South Paris Arena 4, a day after brushing aside India in the round of 16.
In the opening doubles match, Ma Long and Wang Chuqin dominated the South Korean pair of Cho Dae-seong and Jang Woo-jin, winning 11-5, 11-9, 11-5.
In the ensuing singles match, Fan Zhendong and Lim Jong-hoon split the first two games.
Fan, who struck gold in the singles contest, then went on to win 11-9, 11-6, putting China up 2-0 in the best-of-five quarter-final.
Wang and Jang then squared off in the next singles match, which went back and forth before Wang pulled through for a 3-1 victory.
China won 3-0 and will take on France in the semi-finals on Thursday.
It was a similar result in the women's draw, where Chen Meng, Wang Manyu and Sun Yingsha comfortably saw off Chinese Taipei 3-0.
The top-seeded trio did not drop a single game against Chen Szu-Yu, Chien Tung-Chuan and Cheng I-Ching, as they move one step closer to defending their Tokyo title.
They take on South Korea in the semi-finals on Thursday.
