The national team's Liu Hao and Ji Bowen on Thursday surged to Olympic gold in the men's canoe double 500m race at Paris' Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium.
The pair clocked a time of one minute and 39.48 seconds.
Italy's Gabriele Casadei and Carlo Tacchini took silver, while Spain's Joan Antoni Moreno and Diego Dominguez clinched bronze in a photo finish. (Agencies)
