Brics strives to improve global governance, give everyone equal voice

A recent summit of Brics countries in Brazil reiterated its commitments to reforming and improving global governance by expanding Global South cooperation.

Premier Li Qiang, who was at the high-level gathering, said China is to work in unity with developing countries to promote an equal and orderly multipolar world, as well as economic globalisation that benefits everyone.

Fabio Massimo Parenti, associate professor of International Studies at China Foreign Affairs University in Beijing, told Azam Khan that the Brics alliance – which represents more than 40 percent of the world's population – is dedicated towards the democratisation of international relations and giving everyone a voice on the global stage.
