SMEs face more 'downside risk' amid trade war  Listenfacebook
The Productivity Council says the trade war appears to be affecting business sentiment among small and medium enterprises. The Hong Kong SME Leading Business Index increased slightly to 43.8 for the second quarter. But a survey found that its global economy index dropped to a three-year low. The council's chief technology officer Lawrence Cheung told Vanessa Cheng that the survey might not reflect the current situation as it was carried out in late March, before US President Donald Trump announced his reciprocal tariffs.
Basic housing owners and tenants 'need more support'  Listenfacebook
The DAB says authorities should provide more support measures to go with the implementation of the Basic Housing Unit policy. They said this would better cater to the needs of owners and tenants. From next year, subdivided unit owners are required to declare their properties as a "basic housing unit". A 36-month grace period will follow, allowing them to complete the certification process. The party also conducted a survey polling around 480 tenants to know more about their views towards the government policy. DAB lawmaker Vincent Cheng told Charlie Chun more about the study.

The weeks since US President Donald Trump returned to office have been a whirlwind of activity to show Americans his administration is relentlessly pursuing his promises. Rare Ming Dynasty carpet to go on auction in London  Listenfacebook
A large, rare Chinese carpet from the Ming Dynasty era is heading to auction at Christie's in London on Thursday. The piece is estimated to fetch between HK$8.5 million and HK$12.5.
