Chief Executive John Lee will head to Peru this week to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation leaders’ meeting. Hong Kong has been negotiating a free-trade agreement with the South American nation since last year and the Trade Development Council is hoping a new port near the capital Lima will provide fresh impetus for trade between the two regions. A community group has suggested that future housing units replacing subdivided homes should be larger than the minimum size proposed by the government. The Society for Community Organisation (SoCo) says officials should consider adding five-and-a-half square metres for each additional resident, on top of the eight square metres required. The group's deputy director Sze Lai-shan also told Charlie Chun that the government's plan to phase out subdivided units should also cover other low-income residents, such as those living in cage homes and cubicle apartments.
Authorities warn against rise in 'space oil' use  Listenfacebook
There has been a surge in the number of people taking "space oil" -- that's according to the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups. The organisation's Youth Crime Prevention Centre handled 65 related cases for people aged 12 to 33 in the past three months, compared with just a handful at the end of last year. Centre supervisor Michael Leung says this is because young people have underestimated the risks of "space oil". He spoke to Janice Lo.
Heart transplant recipient speaks about experience  Listenfacebook
It's been 55 years since the first organ transplant took place in Hong Kong. That was a kidney operation at Queen Mary Hospital in 1969. And the first heart transplant took place in 1992. To commemorate Hong Kong's Organ Donation Day last Saturday, the Hospital Authority introduced one heart transplant patient to the media. Marco, who's 29, spoke of his gratitude to his donor for giving him a second chance at life. He spoke to Kimmy Lau.

There are fresh concerns about inclusivity and accessibility for the disabled here in Hong Kong, after Paralympics double gold medallist Ho Yuen-kei was recently denied entry to a Thai restaurant because of her wheelchair. The eatery's manager has apologised to the athlete, who says she hopes the case would help raise public awareness towards people with special needs. But John Tse, executive director of Hong Kong Unison, told Janice Wong that the incident left him disappointed.
